Get ready to get messy and really express yourself! Through explorations of several different mediums we get to discover our favorite ways of being creative and we begin to see our world in a different way. Giving a child a lot of permission and encouragement with a little direction leads them to create things that will amaze them!  Julee's teaching style is fun and encouraging. She's been known to be called "silly" by the kids while empowering them to be brave in trying new things. During camp we encourage supportive conversations while avoiding "mean girl" attitudes, we support ourselves and each other through positive self talk. YOU ROCK! is often heard during camp plus plenty of giggles! Julee has worked with children of all ages, but feels these classes are best for ages 6 - 11. If you have a child either younger or older and feel strongly that this is a good fit for them let's talk about it!

I recently described a Brave GRRRLZ Art Camp Day to a fellow camp director by saying:

"we make art, take wee hikes, help each other through the high grasses and duck under the barbed wire, we tell each other how we feel and know that we're safe with each other, then we giggle and make more art... all spring, summer, fall and winter. i'm proud to be forging the brave girls of tomorrow and i'm proud to be in this sisterhood of lovey girly goodness with you all..."

Brave GRRRLZ Art Camp would LOVE to have you!

  1. have you considered doing this for say 12~15 year old girls? Just a thought as this is a time of boys and angst and expression in this form (xcuse me, some direction in expression) might be just what is needed! Would love to hear if you add,
    Kindly, Rae
