What a surprise!

At first we thought that she was sick, but Mr.HeArt Collective did a little bit of sleuthing around and discovered that its normal for the Mother to go off and leave the baby in long grass near a bush... which is exactly where we found her (him?) and that the baby knows to stay just as still as a rock - which she totally did. When we came back with the camera she was still there and we finally noticed some breath movements... and a bit later we saw her lift her head and then we noticed that Mom was lurking in the bushes. We high tailed it out of there and spied on her with the binoculars from the top floor sun room....

What a treat!
