Sometimes we bite off more than we can chew. I thought I was going to have this fab project all prepped so that when I got to Tangerine I would be mostly assembling the piece... but then the little one got sick with Strep Throat and the realtor decided he needed to show the house and between those two things the inside of my studio was mostly silent - besides a few photos and finishing an order.
Now, here's what I want to say about this... I believe in giving myself a break, which means I also believe in giving others a break... I mean, who couldn't use a break??? But... here comes the BIG BUT... I don't believe that it has to be perfect before I can proceed... "its fine." I say that a lot "Its fine." and I mean it... late? fine. Can't make it? fine. Don't wanna? fine. You don't need an excuse because its fine. That doesn't mean flake, or drop the ball or forget about it. It means, pick up where you are and make good. Do what you can with what you have.
Start where you are:
With that it mind... I start here...
I love you
I love me
I love playing, expressing, permission, messes, food and loving and writing and talking too much and BEING...
Its all good.
Its fine.
With that in mind here was the silliness that WAS accomplished:
One tiny little chandelier got the tape treatment - masked off the parts that I wanted to remain the funky creamy color...
The rest got the spray:
Here's some silly for you... there is a GIANORMOUS SCREAMING YELLOW HUMMER right behind me... eeeeeeks... I didn't get paint on your truck Mr.Sign... I swear! :)
Meanwhile... back at the ranch... Gina and her buddy Sawson were laughing at me trying to chat up the neighbors, spray painting a chandelier and trying to keep my sidekick from tripping me.
Later I left the sidekick inside so she made herself comfortable
Awwwwww... Hi Jazmine!
Some work DID get done, I swear!
All work and no play makes Johhny a dull boy... and we wouldn't want that so Gina blew some bubbles for us!
Almost quitting time... Let's see how that chandelier came out...
Ooooohhhh Ahhhhhh...
Sweet!
As Gina always says...
Make Art = Be Happy
I would have to agree!
So the project is FAR from done, but I got a good start on it and I'm happy about that. Now its time to head to my old high school where my first grader is going on a field trip to see Beethoven's Wig at the Amador Theater!
Happy Friday, lovies!
